Hey guys, we had an amazing time yesterday at Sunday Sessions! Big thanks to Eleena Toh for coming in to do a little bit of backup vocals on Dianne's behalf and thanks to all of you who came and supported us!

We'll be taking a few months off but will be back early next year :)

Post Limelight and a new family member

Hey guys, just wanted to say that we had an amazing time last night at the limelight. Thank you so much for coming by and supporting us :)

We're very excited to announce that we are welcoming a brand new member to the band !! The lovely Miss Dianne Lim will be joining us from today onwards. After doing a few shows with her, we were sold that we needed to get her into the band. She's been doing a great job with the backup vocals and guitar stuff with us. So we're very happy and grateful to have her come aboard.

The Limelight

Hey guys, just wanted to share some pics and videos from our last gig at The Limelight.

Practicing for this gig was pretty intense. I think we did an average 6 hours per session or something like that. I didn't even get a chance to shave my beard. The girl in the last photo is Dianne Lim. She helped us with some backup vocals and a bit of percussions.

I think I speak for the 3 of us when I say that we had a pretty damn good time that night.

Hey guys, it's been awhile since we gave an update. So I thought I'd bring you guys up to speed with things.

We did a a few gigs recently at Gloria Jeans Open Mic(Which happens every Weds night). I remembered the first night we did it. It was our first gig ever and I was nervous as hell.

oh and the theme of the night was Masquerade.. so that explains the ridiculous mask on my head.

The following week we did a collab with Twice da Rice to pay tribute to the late MJ.

We also did a gig for Awesome Possum Bazaar which was held at Subang Square.

Which was fairly interesting.. they made us perform on the information counter lol

Back from Melb

Hey guys, Fariz here. I just came back from a short trip to Melb. I was over in Adelaide aswell for a concert. I went to watch Heaven Shall Burn & Trivium. It was sick to the bones. My friends and I moshed like bloody rhinos.

I met up with Mel aswell and we managed to write a new song 1 day before I left. We should be heading into the studio soon. Hopefully to record 2 new songs. Well actually we're re-recording 1 of our previous song. Thats why we haven't released the full version of 'The Magic Stone'.

Sorry for the lack of updates but it is abit hard to get things done when both parties aren't in the same country.

Anyway I'm a month a way from leaving Malaysia so things will pick up for sure :)

Fariz has a thing for naming songs after girls' names: Hazel, Madeline, Hermione Granger...

I dunno how to blog la... but I figured since we haven't been exactly active in the posting music department, better post soMETHING.

Fariz has been coming up with so many melodies it's crazy. He just sent me this new one he's been working on - Balloons and Butterflies. Yes, Fariz came up with that title all by himself. (It's the marshmallow in him) His mind never sleeps. Busy, busy boy.

And I'm busy procrastinating... You see, right now, I should be writing my 1800 word essay due tomorrow. I am Failure Toh. Sigh.

Writing a blog post right now is not something i should be doing i should be writing my essayyy arghhh.

Okay, I'll go try to start now.

Oh and Fariz and I both have Twitter. In seperate individual accounts. You can 'follow' us there if u like. Just search for 'smelsquare' for me and 'farizsalleh' for fariz.

It's the closest thing I'll come to blogging... or actually updating frequently-ish la.

Hey guys, I know we've been quiet lately but we've got good news! We just released a sneak peak of our next single entitled "The Magic Stone". Check it out on our facebook page.

If you think thats great.. we also uploaded a video of us jamming "Hazel" at akarkarya with Ananth and Kevin.

In other news, Mel has left for Melbourne so things are going to be moving a bit slower than expected but it's all good I'll probably be invading Melb somewhere in July. Anyway check back soon for the full version of The Magic Stone. It's going to be awesome :)

Hey guys, I know we haven't updated in a long time. Everyone's kinda busy with their own things now. Mel is leaving for Melbourne in like 2 weeks time. I'll only be there in like July or something. Lately we've been jamming with Kevin and Ananth. We're in the process of uploading a video of us jammin at akarkarya. Check back soon for updates la. If you guys are lucky we might have enough time to record another song but can't promise you anything la. Btw if you haven't noticed the blog has been redesigned by yours truly haha. Recording Update

Okay so the recording process is taking a little bit longer than we expected. So far we've managed to record the guitar tracks. Took us like 6 hours to do it. Some pretty intense recording I tell you. It's hard to say when we'll be able to release the final track. Trying to get a day in a studio seems to be impossible as well. Everybody seems be to booking it before us.
